A note for non-Aucklanders: the Viaduct is a part of downtown full of bars and restaurants. It’s quite nice during the day but kind of gross at night unless you like mindless house music and maybe getting punched by a guy wearing a pinstriped dress shirt. If you’re 18 it’s the place to go on a Friday night, until you get old enough to realise that you hate it. LJ and I have not been there for many years.
