You heard it here first, folks (unless you heard it somewhere else already)

LJ and I are very happy about the whole situation, but it does raise an interesting challenge for me as an autobiographical cartoonist. The new family member is inevitable going to play a huge role in my life from here on out, but how do I accurately represent that in the comics without S&T turning into ‘My Kid Says the Darnedest Things’ and ‘Oh Parenting is Hard But Really, It’s Given Me a Whole New Perspective on Life’? Because god knows there’s enough of those awful twee strips out there, and we don’t need me adding another one.

So there’s a balancing act there that I’ll need to figure out as I go. It’ll be tricky, but hopefully worth it in the long run – much like parenting, you know (see this is the sort of sappy shit I’m going to have to make sure doesn’t creep into Sloths and Trolleys. Ugh.)
